In Africa, malaria is the "queen" of the deadly diseases, the main reason why WEEBAZ was created. According to the World Health Organization 2017 Malaria Report, Africa´s share of the malaria burden is 90% of the 216 million cases and 91% of the 445.000 deaths in 2016. Our advice: take care of yourself, be well informed about the countries you are visiting, validate the risk and be preventive.

ISLAND OF MOZAMBIQUE
The Island of Mozambique lies off northern Mozambique between Mozambique Channel and Mossuril bay. With its rich history, sandy beaches, ancient fortifications and neoclassic buildings, the island is a UNESCO World Heritage site. Get lost with us in this crescent-shaped coral island that seems lost in time and space.
Lake Retba or Lac Rose (as called by the locals) lies north of the Cap Vert peninsula of Senegal, 30 km north-east of Dakar city. The pink waters are caused by a micro-algae called dunaliella salina, due to its high salt concentration. The bacteria is completely harmless to humans and swimming in the lake is worth the photo.
The beautiful unique orange colored sand of the dunes of Erg Chebbi are one of Morocco's best Sahara Desert destinations. Also called The Dunes of Merzouga, they line the Algerian border and can reach a height of up to 150m. Go for a camel trip into the desert and sleep under the stars, it's inspiring!
AVENUE OF THE BAOBABS
The Avenue of the Baobabs is a group of centuries old baobab trees lining the dirt road between Morondava and Belon'i Tsiribihina in the Menabe region of western Madagascar. Discover this Madagascar's natural monument.
Incorporating the third largest canyon in the world and impressive lush scenery, Blyde River Canyon Reserve offers hikers a remarkable experience. This Mpumalanga Nature Reserve, is located near Kruger National Park in South Africa. Make a trek through Blyde breathtakingly scenic, known as the “River of Joy”.
SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK
The Serengeti ecosystem is a geographical region located mainly in northern Tanzania and extends into south-western Kenya. This park is famous for its impressive migratory system and for the protection of the greatest and most varied collection of terrestrial wildlife on earth. The Serengeti is the jewel in the crown of Africa, an inspiring into the wild.
Also known as the "Eye of Africa", this deeply eroded dome with a diameter of more than 40km is a prominent circular feature in Sahara desert, near Ouadane, west-central Mauritania. Although it can only be fully seen from the space, the Eye of Africa is one of the coolest geologic formations to visit.
The world largest inland delta, the swampy Okavango Delta is located in Botswana and is one of Africa's last remaining great wildlife habitat. This region is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a Natural Wonder of the world. Africa´s last Eden, is a trip of a lifetime.
Zimbabwe / Zambia
Victoria Falls is a waterfall in southern Africa on the Zambezi River at the border between Zambia and Zimbabwe. Designated by CNN as one of the seven natural wonders of the world. The falls presents a spectacular sight of awe-inspiring beauty and grandeur. It´s a place of its own. A real Africa blockbuster.
The Danakil Depression is located near the ghost town of Dallol in Ethiopia. A geological depression that has resulted from the presence of three tectonic plates in the Horn of Africa. It is one of the most inhospitable regions of the world, but is nonetheless spectacular, full of eye-catching colors, as in the sulphur springs.
SERRA DA LEBA
One of the 7 natural wonders of Angola, this mountain is located near the city of Lubango. Famous for its altitude, beauty and the road, took it´s name from the engineer who projected the snaking road. Take a ride and carefully enjoy the 56 road bents.
NAUKLUFT SAND DUNES
Located in Sossusvlei area, a salt and clay pan surrounded by red sand dunes, is part of Namib desert (the world´s oldest desert) and Naukluft mountain range in Namibia. The dunes are the highest in the world, and the orange color is a sign of the sand age. Take a ride to a favorite Africa safari destination.
PICO DO FOGO VOLCANO
Pico do Fogo is the highest peak of Cape Verde, and an active volcano located at the Island of Fogo, last erupted in 2014. Yet intrepid farmers continue to grow coffee, vineyards and fruit trees on its black slopes. With a good pair of boots and a guide, you will get a magnificent view from the top.
The Tsingy de Bemaraha National Parkis located in Melaky Region, northwest Madagascar. Also called "The Stone Forest", these are karstic plateaus in which groundwater has undercut the elevated uplands, and has gouged caverns and fissures into the limestone. It´s one of the most rewarding trip into Madagascar.
Also called "The forgotten pyramids of Meroe", this 2700 years constructions are located in a desert in eastern Sudan, along the banks of the Nile River. Many of the nearly 200 ancient pyramids are tombs of the kings and queens of the Meroitic Kingdom. It´s a must visit destination in Sudan.
Praslin is the second largest island in Seychelles, with stunning white sand beaches , lush tropical forests covering the hills and fantastic resorts. Chamarel is a village in Mauritius located in Rivière Noire District, a region with one of the lowest population in Mauritius. The fantastic "Coloured Earths" is a phenomenon resulting from colour variations due to cooling of molten rock. It´s the place to visit while in Mauritius.
